Set inside the White House in the President’s private sitting area at the end of a busy day several months following the election, a slightly fatigued President Obama is relaxing with his head back and eyes closed, enjoying a few moments of solitude. Suddenly he is startled by the sound and appearance of Malcolm X walking towards him. The encounter sets the stage for an interesting, intriguing, and heartfelt conversation.
Though featuring political characters, the production is not political in nature, but instead one-on-one honest dialogue between two great minds about life experiences, their visions, hopes, dreams, and the strong women beside them.
Written, produced and directed by the award-winning playwright, Jacqueline Clay Chester, run time for this production is approximately 1.5 hours followed by engaging audience Q&A.
Shows are March 15-17, 2013. Tickets for all shows are $15 per person.
