Written by Pearl Cleage and inspired by the classic film "It’s a Wonderful Life," "Dear Dr. King" uses the unique voice of teenagers to explore issues of legacy and the power that each individual life can play in effecting social change. Also on January 21 is a free photography exhibit inspired by abandoned buildings in and around Atlanta telling the story of the city’s rich and complex history through the eyes of two very talented teen artists, as well as a Teen Poetry Slam inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and his ability to spark dramatic social change. Free!
