PADV is widening the conversation about intimate partner violence with its fourth annual Teen Summit Feb. 2, 2013. The free summit, themed “Expect More, Be More,” welcomes teens and concerned adults interested in learning how to recognize and address teen dating violence.
The goal of the 2013 Teen Summit is to empower teens to "expect more and be more" in their relationships and equip adults with the tools to start having conversations with teens about healthy dating relationships.
In the last three years, PADV’s Teen Summit has covered topics including bystander intervention, technology safety, health, bullying, exploitation, and the role the media plays in influencing teen relationships.
This year, participants can expect music performances by Grady High School Knight Train, an opening plenary facilitated by Men Stopping Violence, followed by breakout sessions by Magic Wand Foundation and CNN Headline News’ Christi Paul. This summit will be full of special guests, giveaways and a light breakfast will be offered. Free
