Fun, Snacks, Prizes, Inspiration, and EntertainmentThe Youth Expo & Showcase provides a stage to feature middle school, high school and college students from Metro-Atlanta that are serving as leaders and change agents in their respective schools, homes, communities and places of worship in the spirit of Dr. King’s philosophy which helps to promote the “Beloved Community” that he envisioned. An event “for” “by” and “about” YOUTH!Students 13 – 25 will showcase their creativity, innovation and initiatives. It will be a platform for presentations and performances including song, dance, music, drama, poetry, the spoken word and mini performances. There will be activity stations and exhibits featuring youth-focused initiatives, achievements, organizations and entities.It will also be an opportunity to connect students to organizations, resources and ideas related to service, civic engagement and career opportunities including volunteer and intern opportunities. We will recognize youth who have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in six (6) categories:Academic AchievementLeadershipCivic and Community EngagementEntrepreneurshipPerforming ArtsS.T.E.M.
