Join us for Design Conversation on Tuesday, February 12 as author David Calvin Laufer discusses his experiences interviewing some of the most noted designers of the 20th century for his book, Dialogues with Creative Legends AHA Moments in a Designer’s Career. This remarkable book explores the role of creativity in commerce and culture, as well as a quest for livelihood and meaning that is at once highly personal – and strikingly universal. David’s book includes interviews with designers such as Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson, Massimo Vignelli, and Paul Rand, just to name a few. From the dialogues emerge answers to some of the perplexing issues that talented people confront in trying to optimize their careers. These include exploring the limits of one’s own talent, beginning a creative career, developing client relationships, mentoring, and role of design thinking in society. Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to learn from the experiences of the most talented and successful designers of our time. General Admission: Admission is $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, teachers and military, and $5 for students and children over 5. Members are free and drinks are complimentary.
