This class is designed to teach your child how to be well-versed in all aspects of performing arts: singing, dancing and acting. Students will receive training on how to prepare and perform cold readings, improvisation techniques, and will develop vocal skills while learning how to act and dance through a song. This class will improve your child's confidence and stage presence; and help prepare them for the world of theater arts, whether performing or auditioning. The Spring Recital on May 18 is the highlight of our dance season, and provides students with a live stage performance opportunity. Students must be registered by January 25 to be eligible to perform in the Spring Recital. A separate, non-refundable fee of $80 is payable to Daystar Dance Academy for one costume and a pair of tights, recital tickets and facility charges. Students in more than one class may be required to purchase additional costumes at $50/ea. Fees will be divided into two payments: The first payment of $55 is due the week of January 28. The second payment of $25 is due the week of March 4. Supplies: Students will need to bring a notebook and pencil or pen. Attire: T-shirt, jazz pants (no jeans), and black jazz shoes. Long hair should be worn in a pony tail. Short hair should be pulled away from the face.
