Do you have the need for speed? Are you ready to start going places fast? Join the Atlanta Track Club's Kilometer Kids Program! Kilometer Kids is a fun and flexible running program designed to get kids in the community active! The mission of Kilometer Kids is to promote healthy and active lifestyle to area youth through a running-based program. This program will empower your child with the knowledge they need to make smart lifestyle choices. Children will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings at Swift-Cantrell Park to enjoy time outside playing running games, doing drills, and running the track. The class finale will be running as a group in the Swift-Cantrell Classic 5k on Saturday, May 11. The road race application fee is included with the Kilometer Kids registration fee. Ultimately, we hope kids learn that health and fitness can be easy, fun and rewarding! Join the run! Supplies: Participants will need to bring plenty of water. Attire: Loose, comfortable clothing that allows for movement and running shoes.
