The ASO's Talent Development Program, which identifies musically-gifted and motivated African-American and Latino youth and prepares them for acceptance into top music programs in preparation for careers as professional musicians, has now become a model for other orchestras across the country. This year’s Musicale will include performances by current TDP student musicians, and musical selections will include Dvořák’s "American Quartet," Saint-Saëns’ "The Swan" and Rossini’s "The Barber of Seville," among other chamber music selections.
