The Emory Wind Ensemble welcomes one of our neighbors, the Lakeside High School Wind Ensemble, under the baton of David Fairchild, to share the program. The Emory Wind Ensemble takes on Johan de Meij's "Lord of the Rings" Symphony, composed in 1989. This innovative and cinematic five-movement symphony takes its material from J.R.R. Tolkien's best-selling novels, with movements including "Gandalf," "Lothlorien," "Gollum," "Journey in the Dark," and "Hobbits."
