PLATO READING DAY, 2012 IN ATLANTA New Acropolis of Atlanta will host Plato Reading Day to commemorate UNESCO’s World Philosophy Day on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. This event will be held at Candler Park Yoga, 1630D Dekalb Ave in Atlanta, 30307. Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said: “Out of Plato come all things still written and debated by men of thought.” Alfred North Whitehead concluded that Western philosophy was all but a series of footnotes to Plato.
