Three neighboring restaurants in downtown Atlanta’s Luckie Marietta District—Der Biergarten, STATS and Max's Coal Oven Pizzeria—have teamed up to bring Team Owen’s Downtown Dine Out on November 14 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. The evening, which is open to the public, benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and 7-year-old Owen Fox with a percentage of the evening’s dinner proceeds. Owen was diagnosed with leukemia in 2011 and is now in the middle of a three-and-a-half year treatment program in his fight to beat this disease. His family, friends and a growing group of philanthropic supporters, a.k.a. Team Owen, have been rallying around him and making a difference by raising money and awareness about blood cancers to further research for LLS, and its effort to serve the needs of the blood cancer community. This event in the Luckie Marietta District provides another venue for Atlantans to give back to this worthy cause.
