Author Jeff Clemmons talks about the deep history of Atlanta and Rich's department store in his new book, Rich's: A Southern Institution, at this event. The store's history dates back to 1867 when Morris Rich opened a small dry goods store on what would become Peachtree Street in the struggling post-Civil War city. Within a century it became a retailing dynasty. Clemmons' book will be available for purchase and signing at this event.
