The Society of Women Engineers at Georgia Tech is pleased to be hosting an engineering outreach program,targeted for females in grades 5-8 who are interested in math, science, or engineering. The program will be offered:Sunday November 4th, 12:00pm - 5:00 pmon the Georgia Tech Bill Moore Student Success Center. Space is limited to 150 girls on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register early!
There will be a parent's information program free of charge for the parents of attendees! Only tickets for the girls are required, no ticket needed for the parents!!! Additional details will be e-mailed to those registered closer to the event. Through the program, middle school girls will be:Introduced to various engineering majors and career optionsEncouraged to pursue an interest in math, science and engineering through hands-on experiencesProvided with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with current female engineering studentsTentative activities will include:Hands-on projects and activitiesGeorgia Tech Student question & answer panelMorning Parents Program to help parents encourage their daughters with engineeringand MORE!
