Collegium Vocale community chorus, under the direction of Kevin Hibbard, presents "Stabat Mater" by Karl Jenkins, in collaboration with the University of West Georgia Choirs and accompanied by the Carroll Symphony Orchestra. "Stabat Mater," by contemporary Welsh composer Karl Jenkins, extends beyond the traditional Latin text to include sections in Arabic, Aramaic, English, Greek and Hebrew. The work also incorporates indigenous Middle Eastern instruments. It's a one-of-a-kind piece that was first performed in 2008.
