Rare Jewel University (RJU) is a program designed for females ranging between the ages of 12 – 17. RJU is a leadership program committed to preparing and empowering young ladies for a life of success by providing participants with experiences that will enrich them spiritually and physically, while allowing them to discover and explore their individual gifts and talents. RJU emulates a college university system that prepare each participant for higher academia: application process, enrollment, registration, assigned advisors, new student orientation, core classes, elective classes, 12 session cycles, grading systems, graduation ceremony. The program consists of 12 sessions. All registrants will be responsible for taking 12 core classes and 2 electives. Sessions consist of 2 Saturdays per month and 1 elective per 6 classes. There will be planned field trips and special events scheduled. At the end of the 12 sessions, each participant will receive their final grades and participate in a graduation ceremony. Participants will register for their courses during the New Student Orientation. Following successful completion of all classes, participants will graduate from RJU. Registration fee for new students is $100. Orientation will be held for the parents/guardians and the youth on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 10:00a.m., where they will meet Rare Jewel, the program's super-heroine, the RJU team members and learn more about the upcoming curriculum.
