Census records are a tremendous source of genealogical information. The 1940 Federal Census was released online in April and, thanks to a virtual army of volunteers, nearly ¾ of the United States has already been indexed.  And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Archivist Sue VerHoef will offer strategies for locating, searching, and analyzing Federal, state, and local census data. This program is held at the Kenan Research Center at the Atlanta History Center. Admission is $10 members; $15 nonmembers. Space is limited; reservations are strongly suggested. To reserve, call 404.814.4150. For information about program content, call 404.814.4042.
