Back to the Chattahoochee River Race & Festival

Paddlers of all ages and skill levels will take to the water on Saturday, June 13 for the 13th Annual Back to the Chattahoochee River Race & Festival.

Organized and presented by Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (CRK) in partnership with the National Park Service, Fulton County and the city of Roswell, the event celebrates the Chattahoochee and fosters a sense of community around the river that serves more than 4 million people and 70% of metro Atlanta.

The RACE is an 8-mile course with Class I-II rapids. It begins at 9 a.m. at Garrard Landing Park on Holcomb Bridge Road and includes competitive and recreational categories for kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards. Awards, including Best Costume and Best Boat Decoration, will be presented after the race. Companies, schools, and clubs can also participate in the Team Challenge.

REGISTER NOW!

Advanced registration is available through June 9 for the fee of $50 for solo boats and $70 for tandem boats. After June 9, onsite registration costs are $70 for solo and $90 for tandem boats and will be available based on capacity. All registered paddlers will receive a gift bag, race t-shirt, boxed lunch, and one-year membership to CRK.

As a special treat for racers only, paddlers will be greeted at the end of the race by the SweetWater Beer Barge with sodas, water, and SweetWater brew (for patrons 21 and older) before going ashore for the festival.
