  1. Download and install the “97.1 The River” mobile app (the “App”) on a compatible mobile device from either Google® Play or the iTunes® App Store.
  2. Once you have installed the app, click the “RAM Truck” tab on the App’s main menu to register for the Contest. Follow the instructions on the registration page to submit an official entry form. All of the required information must be provided, and all of the information you provide must be complete and accurate. Entrants who submit an invalid phone number or email address may be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY, the App is free to download.

Entries will be accepted from 9:00 a.m. E.T. on May 23, 2016 through 11:59 p.m. E.T. on July 31, 2016 (the “Mobile App Entry Period”).

On Monday, August 1, 2016, Sponsor will select three (3) potential Finalists by random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Mobile App Entry Period.

Limit one (1) entry via mobile app per person and per household during the Contest Period. Failure to complete any of the steps in this section may result in the disqualification of your attempted entry as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion.  Sponsor is not responsible for any issue that may prevent a contestant from being able to download or access the app or complete his/her entry.

By entering via the Sponsor’s mobile app, you agree to be bound by Sponsor’s Visitor Agreement (http://www.971theriver.com/visitor_agreement) and Privacy Policy (http://www.971theriver.com/privacy_policy), which are hereby incorporated by reference.

Limitations applicable to all methods of entry: The use of multiple identities and/or accounts is prohibited, and any attempt to obtain more than the stated number of entries will void that participant’s entries and may result in the participant’s disqualification. Incomplete, forged, altered, automated, mechanically reproduced, lost, late, misdirected, garbled or illegible entries will be disqualified. Sponsor will not be responsible for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including, without limitation, malfunctioning of any network, hardware or software, whether originating with sender, Sponsor, or Sponsor’s Contest application service provider. In the event of a dispute, Sponsor will determine who submitted the disputed entry in Sponsor’s sole discretion. All entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted shall be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons who submit false or misleading entry information or who Sponsor determines to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest.

Any winning Finalist must be the person who originally dialed the phone number to the Contest Line, or submitted an official entry form at a Contest Event/McDonald’s Truck Stop or via the mobile app, as applicable, to participate in the Contest. No family members, friends, office associates, or any other person will be allowed to participate in the Contest on another person’s behalf. A Finalist must provide his or her own name as listed on his or her valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia state-issued ID. If a Finalist uses a false name, an invalid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia state-issued ID, or another person’s Georgia driver’s license or Georgia state-issued ID, he or she will be immediately disqualified from the Contest and be ineligible to win any prize.

Limitations applicable to any call-in method of entry: Listeners accessing Sponsor’s radio station audio via IP connections like website-based streaming or mobile devices are welcome to enter. However, Sponsor cannot be responsible for delays in electronic transmission of station audio to IP devices. By entering this Contest, listeners acknowledge and agree to this specific provision of these Official Rules. In addition, Sponsor will not be responsible for loss of service to the Contest Line or for a participant’s failure to reach the Contest Line due to malfunction of any network or system, congestion, any technical or human error, failures or malfunctions of any kind, including the congestion, overload, busy signals, or any other factor that may prevent an individual from completing his/her phone call. In the event of interruption of power or telephone service to Sponsor during a call-in period of the Contest prior to accepting the 25th caller, or a change in programming that results in Sponsor’s inability to air a call-in opportunity, Sponsor will not replay the affected call-in opportunity and the number of Finalists opportunities awarded in this Contest will be reduced accordingly. If a 25th caller is ineligible, or fails to comply with any term of condition of these Official Rules, that caller will be disqualified, and Sponsor will resume the call-in opportunity and declare the next caller a Finalist, pending verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.

Telephone calls will be taken by Contest operators in the order they are received, and the operators will count the number of calls received after each on-air Contest cue to call to determine the 25th caller. The determinations of Sponsor and Contest operators will be final and binding in all respects. Enter as often as you like during the Call-In Entry Period, provided that the use of automatic telephone dialing equipment or other software or computer-assisted dialing tools is prohibited and may result in your disqualification.

In the event a 25th caller gets disconnected for any reason before being declared a Finalist, Sponsor may resume the call-in opportunity affected and declare the next caller a Finalist, pending verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Sponsor will not be responsible for dropped calls from mobile devices or land lines and dropped calls may result in a potential Finalist’s disqualification and forfeiture of all interest in any prize.

4.             Winner Selection and Odds.

On or about Sunday, August 14, 2016 from approximately 1:00 p.m. (E.T.) to 4:00 p.m. (E.T.) at Ed Voyles Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM (the “Dealership”) on 789 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, GA 30060, Sponsor will hold a “Grand Finale Event” at which Sponsor will select the Grand Prize Winner.

At approximately 1:00 p.m. (E.T.), Sponsor will open Registration and have each pre-selected Finalist check-in with a Contest Administrator designated by Sponsor. All Finalists must show Contest Administrator a valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia state-issued ID at check-in. Failure to present the required identification will result in disqualification.

Registration will close at approximately 2:00 p.m. (E.T.). Sponsor will be the official timekeeper for Registration. Any Finalist who is not present for the Grand Finale Event or arrives after 2:00 p.m. (E.T.) may be disqualified. If fewer than 97 Finalists are present after the close of registration at the Grand Finale Event, Sponsor may select additional Finalists in a random drawing from among those who are present at the Grand Finale Event so that a total of 97 Finalists participate at the Grand Finale Event.

When a Finalist checks in, he/she will be instructed to take one (1) envelope by random drawing from a bingo hopper. Each envelope will contain a plastic key that is color-coded. Finalists may not open their envelope until instructed to do so by Contest Administrator. Any Finalist who is seen opening or attempting to open an envelope before permission is given by Contest Administrator will be disqualified. Any Finalist who takes more than one (1) envelope will be disqualified.

Contest Administrator will instruct Finalists to open their envelopes. Sponsor will then announce a color that was selected in advance of the Grand Finale Event. The Finalists in possession of the plastic keys that match the announced color will be declared a potential Key Winner and will qualify for the Grand Prize Giveaway.

GRAND PRIZE GIVEAWAY. The names of the ten (10) Key Winners will be placed in the bingo hopper, and Contest Administrator will pull one (1) Key Winner at a time by random drawing. When a Key Winner’s name is called, he/she will get to select a physical key (the “Key”) by random drawing of all Keys displayed on a table. Each Key Winner will then use his or her selected Key to attempt to start the Truck (defined below). The potential Grand Prize Winner will be the first Key Winner whose Key successfully starts the Truck. You must be a Key Winner and be present at the Grand Finale Event in order to win the Grand Prize.

Odds of being selected as a Finalist depend upon the number of eligible entries received. However, the odds of winning once an individual has been selected as a Finalist and has successfully registered at the Grand Finale Event are 1:96.

Florida Flyaway to Daytona Beach

OFFICIAL RULES

1.         NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

2.         Eligibility.  Subject to the additional restrictions below, the Florida Flyaway to Daytona Beach Contest (the “Contest”) is only open to legal residents of the state of Georgia who are 21 years or older at the time of entry and who have either i) a valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia state-issued ID or ii) another form of government-issued ID and a utility bill proving residence in the state of Georgia. Employees of Cox Radio, Inc. d/b/a WSRV-FM (“Sponsor”) and each of its affiliated companies, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees, are not eligible to enter or to win. The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, grandchildren and in-laws, regardless of where they live.

Limit:  Only one (1) prize winner may be selected from the same household every sixty (60) days in connection with any contest sponsored or administered by any of the CMG-Atlanta radio stations (i.e., WSB-AM, WSB-FM, WSBB, WTSH, WALR and WSRV).   If you or a member of your household has won a prize from any CMG-Atlanta radio station within the last sixty (60) days, you will be ineligible to receive a prize in this Contest.

3.         How To Enter.  The Contest will begin at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time (E.T.) on Monday, April 18, 2016 and end at 4:30 p.m. E.T. on Friday, April 29, 2016 (the “Contest Period”).  Sponsor will be the official timekeeper for the Contest.

To enter, listen to Sponsor’s radio broadcast on 97.1 The River (the “Broadcast”) every weekday during the Contest Period (each, a “Contest Day”). Each Contest Day at approximately 4:20 p.m. E.T., Sponsor will air Steve’s College of Musical Knowledge (a “Trivia Question”) as a Cue to Call telling potential entrants to call in for a chance to win. When you hear the Cue to Call, call Sponsor’s Contest Line at 404-741-9797. Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, the 1st person to call Sponsor’s Contest Line, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be declared a winner if he/she can answer the Trivia Question. If the 1st caller does not correctly answer the Trivia Question, Sponsor will resume the call-in opportunity, and the next caller who can answer the question will be declared a winner, pending verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.

To win a prize in this Contest, (a) you must be listening to the Broadcast at the time the Contest cue to call is given; (b) you must be declared by Sponsor to be the 1st person to call Sponsor’s Contest Line at 404-741-9797; (c) you must be able to answer the Trivia Question; and (d) you must comply with all other terms and conditions of these Official Rules.  Telephone calls will be taken by Contest operators in the order they are received, and the operators will determine the 1st caller after each on-air Contest announcement.  The determinations of Sponsor and Contest operators will be final and binding in all respects.

Enter as often as you like, provided that automatic telephone dialing equipment or other software or computer assisted dialing equipment is prohibited and will result in disqualification.

Any winner must be the same person who originally called the Contest Line.  No family members, friends, office associates, or any other person will be allowed to participate in the Contest on another person's behalf.  To win, a participant must provide his or her own name as listed on his or her valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia state-issued ID (or other proof of Georgia residency, such as a copy of a utility bill).  If a participant uses a false name on any ID submitted as proof of identification, he or she will be immediately disqualified from the Contest and be ineligible to win any prize.

Listeners accessing Sponsor’s radio station audio via IP connections like website-based streaming or mobile devices are welcome to enter. In the event of interruption of power or telephone service to Sponsor during a call-in period of the Contest prior to accepting the 1st caller, or a change in programming that results in Sponsor’s inability to air a call-in opportunity, Sponsor will not replay the affected call-in opportunity and the number of opportunities to win a prize in this Contest will be reduced accordingly.

If the 1st caller is ineligible or fails to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, that caller will be disqualified, and Sponsor will resume the call-in opportunity and declare the next caller a winner who correctly answers the Trivia Question, pending verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.

In the event a participant gets disconnected for any reason before being declared a winner, Sponsor may resume the call-in opportunity affected and declare the next caller a winner who correctly answers the Trivia Question, pending verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules.  Sponsor will not be responsible for dropped calls from mobile devices or land lines and dropped calls may result in a potential winner’s disqualification and forfeiture of all interest in any prize.

4.         Winner Selection and Odds.

Ten (10) potential Grand Prize Winners will be selected during the Contest Period.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of people attempting to call the Contest Line to answer the Trivia Question when the Cue to Call is given and the order in which the calls are received.

5.         Prize Description.

Ten (10) Grand Prizes:  Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, ten (10) Grand Prize Winners will each receive a trip for two (2) people to Daytona Beach, Florida that includes:

  • ·         Gift certificate for a two (2) night stay at Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center

The approximate retail value (ARV) of each Grand Prize:  $925.00

Total ARV of all prizes to be awarded in the Contest:  $9,250.00

ADDITIONAL TERMS FOR GRAND PRIZE:

Gift certificates are subject to certain terms and conditions as specified by issuer. Sponsor is not responsible for, and will not replace, lost, mutilated, or stolen gift certificates. No refund or compensation will be paid in the event Daytona Beach Resort & Conference Center, or any portion of it, closes or is unavailable.

All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the prize package description above, including costs of meals, parking, ground transportation, gratuities, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes, and all other expenses not specified above, are the sole responsibility of winner. Prize may be subject to blackout periods, and other restrictions may apply. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Contest and those set forth by the Sponsor’s airline carrier of choice, as set forth in the passenger ticket contract. Trip prize winner and guest are responsible for obtaining any insurance (including, but not limited to, any travel or health insurance). The ARV of the trip package may vary depending on travel itinerary and costs of air transportation and hotel accommodations at time of award. Trip prize winner will not receive the difference (if any) between actual and estimated retail value. Trip prize winner and travel companion are responsible for obtaining identification documents necessary for travel. Trip prize winner may be required to present a credit card at time of check-in. Trip prize winner and travel companion must travel on identical itinerary and stay in the same room. If trip prize winner does not designate a guest in accordance with these Official Rules, no consideration will be provided to the trip prize winner for the value of the guest’s portion of the prize package. No credit or cash will be given for any unused portion of the trip prize.

6.         Winner Notification and Acceptance.

Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, the 1st person to correctly answer the Trivia Question after the Cue to Call is given will be notified that he/she is a winner while on-air.

To accept a prize, winners must personally visit Sponsor’s offices at 1601 West Peachtree Street NE in Atlanta, Georgia 30309 within thirty (30) days of notification that prize is ready for pick-up.  Office visits must be between the hours of 8:30 a.m. E.T. and 5:30 p.m. E.T. weekdays.

For identification purposes, all winners must show Sponsor in person or provide a copy of either i) a valid Georgia driver’s license or Georgia state-issued ID or ii) another government-issued photo ID and a utility bill to show proof of Georgia residency. Winners are also required to complete a liability and publicity release, which must be signed at the time a winner claims his/her prize at Sponsor’s offices. Persons traveling as the guest of a winner of a trip package must also sign any release that Sponsor may require. Failure to sign the release or to present the required identification and proof of residency will result in a winner’s disqualification and the forfeiture of his or her interest in a prize.

Sponsor’s inability to reach a winner after a reasonable (as solely determined by Sponsor) effort has been made, the failure of a winner to timely respond to a prize notification, the return of any prize notification as undeliverable, and/or a winner’s failure to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules may, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, result in the winner’s disqualification and forfeiture of all interest in any prize.

A PARTICIPANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE UNLESS AND UNTIL SPONSOR HAS COMPLETED ITS VERIFICATION OF PARTICIPANT’S ELIGIBILITY.

A winner may waive the right to receive a prize but refusal to accept any component of the Grand Prize may result in the forfeiture of his or her rights to claim any other portion of the Grand Prize.  Prizes are non-assignable and nontransferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.  No substitutions allowed by winner.  Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes or components of prize packages with a prize or component of equal or greater value.  Winner is solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on a prize.  Winner may be required to provide his/her valid Social Security Number to Sponsor for tax purposes and/or complete an IRS W-9 form in order to claim a prize. Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on prize value and, as applicable, will be issued an IRS Form 1099 based on the prize value determined by Sponsor. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor.

7.         Publicity.  Participants acknowledge that telephone calls placed to the Contest Line may be recorded for use on-air any time.  Except where prohibited, participation in the Contest constitutes each participant’s irrevocable consent to the publication of his or her name in on-air promotional announcements produced by Sponsor.

Each winner further grants Sponsor, and its affiliates, digital properties, and advertising, promotion and production agencies, permission to use his or her name, address or likeness in any and all advertising and promotional materials, in any manner or media whatsoever, including websites operated by Sponsor, for purposes of advertising, trade or promotion, without additional compensation.

Each winner acknowledges and agrees that he or she shall have no right of approval, no claim to any compensation, and no claim arising out of the use, alteration, or distortion of his or her name or address.

8.         Participation.  By participating, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and any Contest judges or administrators selected by Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects.  Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Sponsor.  In the event the Contest is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest.  Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.  Proof of sending or submission of an entry will not be deemed proof of receipt by Sponsor.

9.         Release.  BY PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST, EACH PARTICIPANT AGREES TO FULLY RELEASE, FOREVER DISCHARGE AND HOLD HARMLESS SPONSOR, COX MEDIA GROUP, LLC, COX ENTERPRISES, INC., AND THEIR RESPECTIVE SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, SUPPLIERS, DISTRIBUTORS, ADVERTISING/PROMOTION AGENCIES, AND PRIZE SUPPLIERS AND EACH SUCH COMPANY’S OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) FROM AND AGAINST ANY CLAIMS, COSTS, LIABILITIES, LOSSES, INJURIES, AND DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE CONTEST, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY CLAIMS FOR PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR DAMAGE TO OR LOSS OF PROPERTY, LOSS OF ENJOYMENT, OR ANY OTHER HARM WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF: (1) PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST; (2) THE QUALITY, RECEIPT, POSSESSION, USE, OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE; OR (3) ANY TRAVEL OR ACTIVITY THAT IS RELATED TO THE CONTEST OR ANY PRIZE.

10.        Limitations of Liability. By PARTICIPATING IN the CONTEST, PARTICIPANTs acknowledge and agree that EVERYTHING REGARDING THIS CONTEST, INCLUDING THE prize(S), ARE provided “as is” and that Sponsor makes no representations or warranties OF ANY KIND, express or implied, about the Prize(S) and sponsor hereby DISCLAIMS all such warranties, including, but not limited to, any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.  (BECAUSE SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN IMPLIED WARRANTIES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH STATES, THE LIABILITY OF THE RELEASED PARTIES IS LIMITED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY SUCH STATE LAW.)

The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by PARTICIPANTs, printing OR PRODUCTION errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or EMPLOYED in the CONTEST; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the CONTEST; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the CONTEST, the processing of entries, or the notification of any winner; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from A PARTICIPANT’S participation in the CONTEST or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

Only the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules is available to be won in the Contest.  In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming, or any other reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be available and/or claimed, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate eligible prize claims.

11.        Construction. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of any contestant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of the State of Georgia, or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Georgia.  The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision.  In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these Official Rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.

12.        Sponsor.  The Contest is sponsored by Cox Radio, Inc. d/b/a WSRV-FM (“Sponsor”).  The decisions of Sponsor regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects.  Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials or announcements relating to the Contest.  For a list of winners (available after Friday, April 29, 2016) or a copy of these Official Rules, visit www.971theriver.com or send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to “Winners List/Official Rules” (as applicable), Florida Flyaway to Daytona Beach, ATTN: Justin Tysinger, 1601 West Peachtree Street NE Atlanta, GA 30309.  If you have any questions regarding this Contest, please contact the Promotions and Marketing Department of WSRV-FM via email at justin.tysinger@coxinc.com or mail at 1601 West Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30309.
